Grade 6 Learns about Minerals and Rocks at Camp Cedar Ridge

Writer: Halton Waldorf SchoolHalton Waldorf School

In Grade 6 Waldorf education, studying rocks and minerals aligns with students' developmental stage of seeking concrete knowledge and understanding the Earth's physical structure. This curriculum deepens their scientific curiosity, promotes observational skills, and connects them to the natural world, fostering a sense of exploration and discovery.

Our grade 6 students had a chance to explore and learn about different rocks and minerals on their recent trip to Camp Cedar Ridge, while they also explored the outdoors and enjoyed each other's company during various activities.
